Once upon a time, there were five great nations, Shugoddam, Nkosopa, Ishabana, Gokkan, and Toufu. Each country had its own ruler, who was allowed to fight by arming oneself in the form of a warrior with one's sword. According to tradition, it was said that the Earth Empire Bugnarak, an enemy supposed to have been defeated once 2000 years ago, would rise again this year, and they were to fight against it. The rulers of the five countries had gathered in Shugoddam, the most powerful country in the world, to form an alliance in preparation for the return of Bugnarak.
