This time, the port town is Hakodate, a popular sightseeing spot in Hokkaido.
The morning market is filled with cheerful shouts of "Irasshai!" as the gourmand pub poet Rui Yoshida and Kanako Murotani visit. In addition to fresh seafood, they also enjoy Japanese sweets from a century-old rice cake store, where the fourth generation of the family makes the sweets with the irresistible chewy texture.
They also visit a custom-made musical instrument store and are fascinated by the sound of handmade guitars, rare even in Hokkaido.
At a certain tavern, Anna Murotani was surprised. "What? The fish is grilled whole!" What kind of grilled fish can only be eaten here, where the mysterious way the food is served brings out delicious flavors and excitement?
Then to a Spanish restaurant in a Japanese-style building using Taisho glass, whose unique distortions are somewhat nostalgic. Sipping on wine and tasted seasonal dishes that went well with the wine. A great time chatting and getting tipsy!

The two first headed to a fun spot unique to the iron town.
They tried their hand at making a "Bolta", a doll made of only metal such as bolts and screws, with rich expressions!
Muroran is famous for its "Curry Ramen" and "Muroran Yakitori" which is eaten with western ginger, but the Muroran style of "Katsudon" is a little different! Mr. Rui was surprised to see the steam rising from the bowl of pork cutlet...
Rui was also amazed at the boiling steam of the katsudon.
The fantastic night view of the factories is also a wonderful memory of the "Iron Town".
After all, it's time for a drink.
At the beer garden to enjoy the short summer, I was impressed by the unique way of drinking in this season!
I rediscovered the charm of Muroran!

The town which flourished as a "herring town," was also known as "the place of 1,000 herring stones" in its heyday, when netmasters and merchants lavished their fortunes on mansions. Many historic buildings remain.
Getting off at Mashike Station, last stop on JR Rumoi Line, first thing that struck them was the fresh seafood from the Japan Sea. Fresh and clear sweet shrimp and the original delicacies of Mashike. Also visited an orchard away from the harbor, tasting delicious fruits produced by the natural environment of Mt. Shokanbetsu.
Famous sake "Kunimare". You can't miss visiting the brewery. Sake made in the harsh natural environment of Mashike has a unique, deep, dry taste. Rui tasting sake at the brewery, and tourists began to flock there. Rui, in a good mood with a cup of sake in his hand, held his favorite "Sake Enkai" on the spot. Here's to a good time, brought about by great sake!

After inhaling all that delicious air, we had to fill our stomachs as well, so to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant. Although entering the restaurant casually, they were very excited by amazing nigiri and portions. Bodies and minds filled with freshness and quality of excellent food. Local sake, a must for sake lovers.
Also a crane game machine unique to Kushiro! What's inside is high-grade foodstuff. The two of them were so absorbed in the crane game that they couldn't help but wonder if they were able to get the luxury food!
What goes well with a night in Kushiro is Robata. We found a restaurant called "Mom" that the locals love. Both amazed at the all-you-can-eat snacks for 1,000 yen. Delicious food and drinks, and the warm-hearted people...
