The body of a man is discovered on an island in the middle of the Gironde. He wears a strange white Venetian mask. When Alexandra removes it from her, she discovers that the skin has been removed from her face! What message did the murderer want to convey? To solve this enigma, Alex will have to redouble his ingenuity because the victim is a craftsman with no history, a good father and an exemplary husband. But he hides a troubled past that only Alex will be able to unmask.
