In 1973, an anthropologist and the church's factory worker lived alone in Isluga. The anthropologist's son was captured by the military. The distraught anthropologist went to the factory worker, who read the coca leaf to him. "Your son is fine," he said, "the birds will let you know when he returns." Shortly after, suris, cometocinos, and woodpeckers invaded Isluga. And the son returned. Ten years later, this story wove the invisible web that unites this documentary.
