???????? Mio or il mio? Mia or la mia? ???? If you’re learning Italian you might have had this doubt before: “When should I use the article and when not?” I know, it can be confusing. So let me help you understand this! Generally, in Italian you should use the article before possessive adjectives. For example for a noun as “camicia” (shirt ????) you would use the feminine possessive adjective “mia” because the word “camicia” is feminine and before “mia” you must add the feminine article “la”. So to say “my shirt” we have: “la mia camicia”. However, if you’re talking about family members this rule can change a little bit!

Learn From These Mistakes! ✨ So, this is what we learned today: 1️⃣ With cities we need to use the preposition A 2️⃣ To form the past of reflexive verbs we need the verb ESSERE 3️⃣ If we use ESSERE with passato prossimo, the verb changes according to who you’re referring to. In Italy we say FARE UNA FOTO, so don't translate literally from English "to take" (prendere) and remember to use FARE. If you want a picture of yourself you can say: FARMI. If you're with someone else you can say FARCI (a picture of us). If you want to ask someone: "Can I take a picture of you?" in Italian, you can say FARTI (one person) or FARVI (more than one).
