Lilli Fennrich's body is found in the rural surroundings of Wiesbaden. Her husband Jasper has already confessed to the murder and is on remand. An apparently easy case awaiting Commissioner Winnie Heller, who was transferred from Cologne to her hometown Wiesbaden. The transfer not only gives her a professional reorientation, but also the opportunity to be close to her sister Elli, who has been in a coma since a car accident. Winnie's colleague Hendrik Verhoeven is anything but enthusiastic about the new Commissioner who is being put in front of his nose, and their first meeting is not exactly harmonious either. Verhoeven wants to put the case to the files quickly, especially since a stranger is up to mischief in Wiesbaden, kidnaps young girls and keeps them prisoner at home.

Wiesbaden is in shock. One morning suddenly shots rang out in a high school. The inspectors Winnie Heller and Hendrik Verhoeven find three bodies in the school. The principal and two students are dead. And there is no trace of the perpetrator. However, one suspect is quickly identified: the 17-year-old problem student Nikolas Hrubesch, who was recently expelled from school and is now nowhere to be found. When the investigators look around Nikolas ’parents' house, there are several indications that the student, humiliated by his classmates, was planning a rampage. To Winnie Heller's colleagues and the public, the case seems clear. But while the large manhunt for Nikolas Hrubesch is underway, Commissioner Winnie Heller has more and more doubts about the hastily formulated killing theory. One of them is Commissioner Winnie Heller. The hostage-takers entrench themselves in a factory and demand several million ransom money. While her colleague Verhoeven is investigating together with the BKA, Winnie has her ID card disappeared as a precaution. A series of burglaries in Wiesbaden's mansion artists' quarter startles the Wiesbaden residents. The perpetrator erases all traces with a special white foam. Is he a cop or a firefighter? Only they usually know about it. During one of the raids, a security guard is killed with a fire extinguisher. An eyewitness quickly falls into the sights of Commissioner Heller. It is the former teacher Jan Drexler, who lives in the forest as a dropout and keeps afloat with odd jobs. Winnie is convinced of his guilt. However, another murder occurs while Drexler is still being questioned. The commissioners need to rethink.

In her last case, Commissioner Heller is confronted with the criminal machinations of a pimp ring, which forces young girls into prostitution with the help of loverboys. Winnie Heller goes undercover to solve the death of a minor. A so-called loverboy is killed during the operation, and Winnie has to realize that the case suddenly affects her more personally than she would like. Inspector Winnie Heller and her colleague Timo Lübke are investigating undercover at a party in a luxurious Wiesbaden winery to investigate the death of a minor. Young girls are said to be forced into prostitution there. The undercover operation escalates and Benny, a young pimp and so-called loverboy, is shot. The landowner Gregor Riselius and his wife Nicola reject any allegations, and nothing can be proven against them. But then the case takes an unexpected and very personal turn.
