Initially Nagi is less than thrilled to take part in a school excursion, hiking to the top of Mt. Takao, but then does enjoy the view. The next day is a holiday at the Hakuo academy, for the weak students to recover. Time enough for Maria to show Ayasaki Hayate a huge in-house jungle that also happens to be a sauna in disrepair... Nishizawa Ayumu, already in the second year of senior high school, is encouraged to think about her future career. Midsummer is nearing, so Maria plans to do a spot of gardening, this initially does not include growing vegetables, though. When Nagi discovers a new ramen place she wants to visit, Hayate and Nagi have to break the news to the nutritionally aware Maria diplomatically, who considers ramen junk food...
