While out shopping, Misaki sees Chiaki entering a wedding venue with Kaede and is devastated. Still in shock, she returns to SeaSons and is scolded by Kanata for being absent-minded. Things worsen when Chiaki asks her to make the wedding cake for his and Kaede's upcoming party, which she reluctantly agrees to. Due to a last-minute venue issue, Chiaki also asks Kanata to handle the food, and he agrees after being bribed with a surfboard. As preparations begin, Misaki struggles with her emotions, especially after running into the affectionate couple again and being invited to dinner by Chiaki.

Misaki hopes to be seen as cute by Chiaki, but her feelings are crushed during the wedding party — especially after witnessing him kiss Kaede. Kanata comforts her by taking her on a boat ride to acknowledge her efforts, hinting at a growing closeness. However, once SeaSons returns to normal operations, Kanata goes back to being cold, frustrating Misaki. Misaki wakes to find the house empty and a note from Chiaki saying he’s gone fishing with Kanata and Touma. While fishing, Touma talks about his interest in a girl named Manami, despite still being with Fuka. When he asks about Misaki, Chiaki admits he’s serious about her, which Kanata listens to in silence. Meanwhile, Kaede visits SeaSons and warns Misaki she won’t back down from pursuing Chiaki. Later, Touma runs into Manami again and is thrilled when she says she wants to meet his brothers. That night, Misaki calls her friend Wakaba, panicking after unintentionally declaring Kaede a love rival. Wakaba tells her to confess at the upcoming fireworks festival. Misaki excitedly tells Kanata she's going to the fireworks festival with Chiaki, unaware that Kanata quietly expresses something unexpected in return. Determined to confess her feelings, Misaki prepares for the big day and is encouraged by Touma to wear a yukata. While shopping, she ends up buying one and catches Kaede suspiciously handing money to a man. Kaede later claims it's just repaying a friend and announces she'll be leaving town that night. Meanwhile, Chiaki coldly brushes off Manami, who visits SeaSons with something to say. That night, Misaki asks Kanata if she should tell Chiaki about Kaede, but he says it’s unnecessary. On the night of the fireworks festival, Misaki realizes she must give up on Chiaki, but Kanata surprises her with a comforting hug. The next morning, Misaki is shaken, though Kanata acts as cold and blunt as ever. Chiaki then tells her directly that he’s getting back together with Kaede, leaving Misaki quietly heartbroken. Soon after, Chiaki introduces a new restaurant collaboration project for a dining event, revealing that the famous partner restaurant specifically requested Kanata. Touma shocks everyone by revealing that Kanata is not a real Shibasaki brother, a truth Chiaki had long kept hidden. He then introduces Manami as Kanata's biological sister, who explains their mother is critically ill and urgently needs a blood transfusion from her rare blood-type son. Overwhelmed, Kanata walks out, and Misaki tries to follow but can’t find the right words. Back home, Misaki questions Touma's lack of concern, but he lashes out, feeling alienated and unwanted, and leaves as well. The next morning, both Kanata and Touma are missing. With the restaurant unable to open without a chef, Chiaki and Misaki begin calling to cancel reservations, while Chiaki blames himself for hurting Kanata.

With tensions resolved, the Shibasaki brothers reunite and SeaSons resumes normal operations. Misaki is busy with two big challenges: preparing a dish with Kanata for the upcoming Dining Out event and giving him a response to his earlier confession. Though she knows her answer, she struggles with timing. After some advice from Wakaba and a fireworks outing with the brothers, Misaki tries to tell Kanata, but is misunderstood. Unable to confess, she continues to wait. Meanwhile, Touma tells Chiaki it's only a matter of time before Misaki and Kanata get together, and that Misaki seems over Chiaki. The next day, Misaki and Kanata begin gathering ingredients, and she suggests celebrating together if their presentation succeeds.

After successfully presenting her dish for the Dining Out event, Misaki plans to celebrate with Kanata and finally respond to his confession. But just as she prepares to return with a homemade cake, Chiaki suddenly hugs her, causing her to drop it in shock. Back at home, Kanata has dinner ready, but Misaki, flustered by the situation and Chiaki’s return, fakes a stomachache and retreats to her room. The next day, she calls Wakaba for advice, who insists that Chiaki must have feelings for her and warns that Kanata won’t wait forever. Meanwhile, Chiaki meets with Kaede, but she takes him somewhere before he can speak. Misaki learns from Touma that Kanata went to scout the Dining Out venue alone. Realizing this, she rushes to see him and apologize for missing their celebration.

Misaki finally confesses to Kanata, telling him she loves him, but she's shocked when he coldly replies that he no longer feels the same. Distracted at work, Misaki can't stop thinking about him, even as Touma mistakenly congratulates her. While Kanata's success draws media attention and interview requests, Chiaki announces that a top food critic is coming to SeaSons. That night, Misaki asks Kanata why he rejected her, but he brushes it off, saying he simply changed his mind. Hurt and confused, Misaki is later visited by Chiaki, who asks her to make dessert for Kanata's interview. Realizing she's been rejected, Chiaki confronts Kanata, but he remains silent, hiding his true feelings.
