On the night of the fireworks festival, Misaki realizes she must give up on Chiaki, but Kanata surprises her with a comforting hug. The next morning, Misaki is shaken, though Kanata acts as cold and blunt as ever. Chiaki then tells her directly that he’s getting back together with Kaede, leaving Misaki quietly heartbroken. Soon after, Chiaki introduces a new restaurant collaboration project for a dining event, revealing that the famous partner restaurant specifically requested Kanata. Kanata and Misaki visit the restaurant for a meeting and are greeted by producer Naomi Ohashi, someone Kanata seems to know. Afterward, just as Misaki plans to meet her friend Wakaba, Kanata asks her to come with him somewhere, leaving her caught off guard.
