Little Big Cat

A storm is brewing in the Mara but little Kito, the young cheetah cub, doesn't like the rain and thunder. Meanwhile the cheeky lion cub Ndogo loves to splash and play in the puddles with his brothers and sisters. Soon the sun comes out and Kito the cheetah is happy running about again.

Kali the lion cub has lots of brothers and sisters and everyday his Mama takes them on an adventure. Today they find a stream to practise their jumping. All the cubs jump over well but Kali falls straight in. Next they find some floating weed with birds walking on it. Silly Kali thinks he can walk on the weed too and splash in he falls. Finally Kali learns to jump across the stream and is very pleased with himself.

Moja the cheetah cub and his brothers decide to try and make friends with lots of different animals from ground hornbills to warthogs and even a car, but without much luck. Meanwhile Neema the lion cub makes friends with the mongooses by playing a game of peekabo! Finally Moja decides his best friends of all are his brothers and they play a fun chasing game together.

Kumi the lion cub has a special friend, his big cousin Rembo. They love playing and getting into mischief together. Today they have run off and Kumi finds large herd of scary buffalo. He tries to remember what his mum told him about buffalo.

Along with his sister, he is learning how to climb, first they practice on a little, fallen tree and then on a great big tree. The cubs also learn that the tree bark is great for scratching an itch. The leopard cubs have a lot to learn before they can become Big Cats.

It's a scorching day on the wide plains of Kenya's Masai Mara and all of the animals look for a place to stay cool. Zebras wade into the river to drink and paddle, Hippos are wallowing in the cool mud and Giraffes shelter under tall trees. The Cheetah cubs need a cool place to rest too and little Moja thinks he's found the perfect shady spot, under a sleeping Wheelyphant. Little does he know that the Wheelyphant is really a car. Moja's adventure really begins when the Wheelyphant wakes up and drives away, leaving him, and his brothers Tatu and Mbile, stranded on the wide open savannah.

Leopard cubs Jua and Paka are moving home in the wide plains of Kenya's Masai Mara. They find a nice spot but a family of Baboons already live there, so they have to keep searching. Eventually they find a lovely shady spot but they have to jump over the river to get there. It is hard work but Leopards are great climbers and jumpers.

Cheetahs love to sit high up on termite mounds and watch the other animals on the wide plains of the Masai Mara. But out in the grasslands our cheetah cubs can't see a thing as their legs are too short and the grass is too tall. Mbile the cheekiest cub finds it really frustrating not being big enough but he has a bright idea. When the family aren't looking he climbs to the top of the tallest tree and looks out over the whole Masai Mara. The view is wonderful and Mbile is distracted as his mother and brothers walk away into the long grass. When he realises they've gone Mbile discovers that climbing up a tree is the easy part.
