Massage Detective Joe

The introverted massage therapist Joe Yabukihara (Yuichi Nakamaru) is able to tell all just by touching someone. He goes on a house call to massage a beautiful lady. After a successful massage, Joe is notified the next morning that her husband has been murdered and that he is a suspect! As the suspects are gathered, Joe states that he wishes to massage everyone. Can he solve the crime?

Joe goes to massage the gymnastics club of a girls' high school. After the nerve-wracking massage is over, the ace of the team is murdered that same night. Strangely, the body shows signs of being strangled twice. Joe and Detective Money have a crime-solving competition, which brings to light an ugly struggle between rivals in order to make the team.

Joe's next house call is for Shiho, a pop idol known for her cold demeanor. After he leaves her apartment, he is photographed by paparazzi and the whole ordeal turns into a big scandal! And as if that weren't enough, the idol's manager gets murdered with a stab to the heart. Shiho, her stalker, and Joe himself become suspects, and a surprising truth is uncovered as Joe solves the crime.

Joe's next clients are a couple who star in musicals. He is taken aback by the hyper couple who suddenly break out in song. But then, the husband is suddenly poisoned to death! Once again, Joe is called on the scene to play detective, when the wife and the victim's female manager get into a fierce fight right before his eyes. Deception lurks behind the happy smiles of men and women...

The people of Hogusudo go on a trip to a hot spring thanks to a kind gesture by Madam Eco. The purpose of the trip is to get Joe some rest, but the trip involves Money and Tiger for some reason, and is anything but relaxing. And to make matters worse, the shady inn they stay at has a strange woman who wanders around while calling out a man's name. An unprecedented incident unfolds!

Joe and the gang are deep asleep at the inn, but when they wake up, a dead body is next to them! They are interrogated by a local cop, but don't remember anything since they were wasted. The cop watches the surveillance tape and is positive that the killer is among the group, but Joe knocks him out cold by pressing his pressure point. Now Joe must retrace his steps from the night before.

Ai, a popular hostess, asks for a massage at her house. Madam Eco usually welcomes extra work, but Joe is told by Madam Eco to come straight home after the massage. Despite the warning, Joe agrees for an extension, when Ai's loan shark boyfriend comes home. He's an extremely jealous man with a short temper, and threatens to kill Joe with a knife. What will happen to Joe?

Joe learns about a robbery that took place at a bank right by Hogusudo. They say that the culprit is armed and on the loose. Just then, the door swings open and the bank robber storms in and even fires off a submachine gun. Money hears the gunshots and the police surround Hogusudo as the bank robber demands money. However, Aguri notices something strange about the bank robber...

A couple comes into Hogusudo. Everyone thinks they are new customers, but it turns out they want Joe to investigate about their daughter as she might be getting bullied. As Joe is troubled about what to do, another "Massage Detective" by the name of Hyuma enters. Then, Money comes asking for help with a murder case, and Hyuma challenges Joe to see who the real Massage Detective is.

Aguri is showing Madam Eco an article about a respected CEO by the name of Kyoko. Aguri says Madam Eco should learn from her about offering benefits to her workers, but Joe says otherwise. Joe then goes to perform a massage at a certain company, which turns out to be a company that Kyoko has taken over. As soon as he sees her, Joe tries to leave, as there is bad blood between the two.

The introverted Joe has awakened and is now able to talk normally to people. However, he loses his ability to read people by touching them. Aguri is oblivious to this fact, and accepts an offer to have Joe solve a crime on live TV. Joe says it's impossible, but is forced to solve a murder from ten years ago, and is asked to massage people who were partying with the victim.

Joe is reunited with his father Danpei, but runs away with him for some reason. Joe learns that Danpei left his family because he didn't want to force Joe to take over the work of being a massage therapist for the government. Meanwhile, everyone is panicking at Hogusudo since Joe or his father must save a dying person in order to save Japan. Will Joe return to Hogusudo?
