Dionne meets boat builders Cornelis and Patricia. Fifteen winters ago, they took over an old shipyard in one of the most remote places in Northern Norway. In the same country, Dionne visits sheep farmers Rob and Astrid. They can use her help in taking care of hundreds of lambs. Martijn, Anne and their son Espen transformed a neglected estate in the forests of Sweden into their dream place. Dionne visits them. Finally, we meet the Ellerbrak family, they are still at the beginning of their Swedish adventure.

Rob and Threes emigrated to Norway later in life. There, their lives are dedicated to their great passion: the Northern Lights. A visit to the Ellerbrak family is also on the program. They said goodbye to the Netherlands for good and are now looking for a place for their B&B. Martijn and Anne have already found their dream place in Sweden, but have to work hard to make a dilapidated farm their home. With Rob and Astrid, Dionne witnesses a very special moment: the birth of two lambs.

What impact does emigration have on a child? Dionne meets a new family; father Wiebe and mother Ashna leave Almere with their two young children for a tiny village in Norway. Sil, the son of sheep farmers Rob and Astrid, knows what it is like to experience such a change as a child. He talks about what it is like as a Dutch boy to grow up in an unknown country. Jesper Ellerbrak also speaks. He moved to Sweden with his parents two months ago, but then doubt strikes.

This episode is all about the short-lived Scandinavian summer. For Martijn and Anne, the summer starts sad, now that they have to say goodbye to a dear family member. The Gouwens and Ellerbrak families are in the middle of renovating their new homes. Literally a job that no one will be left out of. Jesper Ellerbrak has hung up his Swedish adventure and Dionne visits him in the Netherlands. At the end of the summer, Dionne travels to the northernmost tip of Norway, to Cornelis and Patricia.

Dionne visits northern lights couple Rob and Threes. Later in life, they transformed a village hall into a research centre. A little further north, with Cornelis and Patricia, Dionne experiences the advantages and disadvantages of living on a remote peninsula. Furthermore, the slightly sceptical Dionne goes along during a typical Norwegian activity: hunting. And we see Martijn and Anne, who have happy news to report after a sad period.

The first signs of winter are emerging. Dionne goes to school with Wiebe junior and Shanti. They have recently started their new school, but are learning the Norwegian language at a rapid pace. With Cornelis and Patricia, Dionne hooks her first fish in Northern Norway. With Martijn and Anne in Sweden, Dionne witnesses a changing landscape; The first snowflakes are arriving. At Rob and Astrid's the sheep have to be picked up from the mountains. And that turns out to be an experience that Dionne will remember for a long time.

Dionne concludes her journey through Scandinavia and meets the couples one last time. Where Dionne and Anne took a brave dip in the icy lake in the spring, they can now enjoy the first snow from the new hot tub. A bit further north, Dionne goes with Vincent on the truck. Dionne is on the slopes for the very first time with the Gouwens family and she hopes to catch a glimpse of the northern lights with Rob and Threes. But Lady Aurora does not allow herself to be forced.
