Eli's Places

In episode 1, Eli meets up with Peyton and is sent off to examine the birth of college football. Joining forces with actor and comedian Jon Stewart, he explores the history of college football’s first game between Princeton and Rutgers in 1869.

In the second episode, titled “Heisman Campaigns,” Eli looks into the politics of winning the iconic award. He revisits his own experience as a runner up and visits with some other people who might have experience in that realm.

Eli catches up with the greatest coach in College Football history and discusses his process. The coach also shares some funny stories and gets Eli into the water to try his luck at tubing.

Eli explores the nature of recruiting in the world of College Football. He meets with LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron and even gets some recruiting advice from his brother, Peyton.

Eli meets up with astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson and famed Harvard alum Ryan Fitzpatrick to discuss how both Yale and Harvard played a role in the origin story of college football.

Eli connects with coaching greats Lincoln Riley, Barry Switzer, Chip Kelley and Steve Spurrier to break down the complexities of college football offenses.

Eli meets up with two of college football's all-time great running backs, Eric Dickerson and Ricky Williams to discuss their ability to elude defenders on the gridiron.

Eli travels the country to learn about the football history of historically black colleges and universities. To do so, he speaks with some of the greatest players of all time, including the legendary Jerry Rice.

Eli explores some of college football’s greatest finishes, connecting with Doug Flutie to discuss Boston College’s famous Hail Mary win against Miami in 1984.

In the 10th and final episode, titled “Big Manning on Campus,” features Eli returning to his alma mater with his Father, Archie. Both of these legendary quarterbacks were the big man on campus in their times and they explain just what that experience was like.
