The Escape

We dive into the lives of Robin, Donovan, Maddy, Shannon and Diego and see their search for a better life, while the scars of the past haunt them daily.

Shannon gives a presentation at her old school about her overcome eating disorder. Diego talks about bonding with his biological family in Colombia. Maddy invites us home and talks about society's rat race. Donovan once again decides to go to rehab and Robin celebrates being clean from gaming for a year.

Robin wants to go to college and takes a test to get admitted. Donovan prepares for his admission to rehab. Maddy recites very personal poems at a festival. Shannon talks about her struggle with overpowering loneliness, and Diego looks for a church to be baptized.

Robin confronts his screen addiction and buys a new smartphone. Diego talks about the traces of his past and how it is getting in his way now. Donovan returns early from rehab and struggles to stay clean. Shannon is in need of rest and takes a weekend trip with a close friend. Maddy goes to visit her grandmother to share some happy news.

Donovan is looking for day care and has resolved to play sports. Diego is candid about what faith brings him and is making final preparations for baptism. Robin has fallen into old habits and doesn't really want to see Max for a while. Maddy wants to study but must first find a job to pay for it. Shannon goes into town with her sister and they discuss how differently they deal with their same childhoods.

How are the youngsters doing now after being followed by a camera crew for six months? Donovan talks to his parents about re-admitting to the clinic. Robin, despite his obstacles, is looking forward to his future, as is Shannon. Maddy takes us through the hurdles that bother her most, and Diego finally gets baptized.
