Dr Chris Dewhurst says: “We have single mums with no dad, mum with a new partner, mum being supported by grandparents, so we’re used to all different types of families here.
“It’s extremely difficult having a new baby, but if you are on your own and you have a baby who is sick, or who’s been sick, then I think that must be very, very difficult.”
