Bike World

We head off racing on this first episode of series two of Bike World. Everyone has to start somewhere so we put the starter level Kawasaki 300 and the KTM 390 cup bikes through their paces, but firstly we find out how a race ready, full factory British Superbike Yamaha R1 differs from the road going R1. 'Let's get ready to race!'

This episode sees us slowing things down, chilling out, and heading off for a bit of cruising. If laid back cool is your thing then look no further as we work our way through the new Harley Davidson range yet if chaps and tassels aren't your thing then check out the stylish new Triumph Bobber.

On this episode we hit you up with a dose of the super cool, super charged Italian brand that is Ducati. Find out how monstrously powerful the Ducati Monster 1200 really is yet firstly, and following on from our trip to California to test the Scrambler 800, we test it's big brother as we wind through the hills and streets of Portugal on the Ducati Scrambler 1100.

Off road motorcycling fans will find more than enough to enjoy in this episode as we get dusty and dirty in some of Europe's most beautiful off road locations, and Wales. it's back to off road School for John on the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro and Fuerteventura on the Multistrada 950, but first we see Chris thrashing the nuts off the extreme BMW R 1200 GS in the mountains of Spain

The stunning Portimao track in Portugal is a home from home for us at Bike World and this time we are here for the annual, ultimate Sportsbike shootout. The Yamaha R6, the Ducati Panigale 1299S, the Honda Fireblade SP, the Yamaha R1, the Kawasaki ZX-10R, the Aprillia RSV4, the BMW S1000RR and the Suzuki GSX-R1000R battle it out for top spot. Sportsbike heaven!

In this episode we unashamedly hold our hands up and admit to merely wanting an injection of speed, plain and simple. Speed. Portugal. Spain. What more could we wish for? We pit the Suzuki GSX R1000 against the Honda Fireblade 1000RR on a flat out track test, but first we are off to Valencia to ride the beautiful new 214BHP, yes you heard it 214BHP, Ducati Panigale V4. Remember the excitement of reaching your leg over your first motorcycle? This episode is all about the fun to be had by the new motorcycle rider as we look at both snazzy entry level offerings from KTM, the 125 Duke and the 390 Duke and also find out how Suzuki have toned down one of their legendary models to suit the new rider, the Suzuki GSXR125.

We go all green and all electric on this episode of Bike World and look to what could be the future of two wheeled riding. We spark up the Harley Davidson concept bike and then we really bring things up to date with the ultra modern Zero SR but firstly we have to start with Chris on an Oset trials bike, doing things you may never have thought possible on an electric motorcycle.

It's a 'fairing free' episode of Bike World this time around as we pit our very own modified Yamaha MT10 head to head with the supercool Yamaha MT10 SP to find out which one comes out on top and John heads to Catalunya to see how the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS performs in less than sunny conditions.

What better way to finish off this series than with two superbike special editions, Once again we go unashamedly flat out with an episode dedicated to pure power and speed as we ride the scarily fast Ducati Panigale FE on both road and track and then head to Almeria where we have a blast on the newest addition to the iconic Kawasaki ZX10 family, the spanking new ZX10R SE.
