Elvira Iseli and her friend and neighbour Mrs Schruppatelli are on their way to a wedding in Italy. The journey is turbulent: first their cars and their money get lost, and then their adventurous hitchhiking trip ends up where they didn't want to go. A bit much ‘Schissedregge’ all at once, says Mrs Schruppatelli. But Mrs Iseli comes up with some amazing ideas on how to make money so they can continue their journey. And Mrs Schruppatelli takes the opportunity to talk about her Italian home village: About her cheerful mother, the mysterious red-haired beauty, the ruthless neighbour, the choleric priest (all played by Birgit Steinegger) and, of course, the wedding couple they were supposed to visit.

Elvira Iseli is commissioned by the mayor to organise a ladies' theatre evening for the celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the municipality. Funny scenes from community life are required. So far, so good. But Mrs Iseli has somewhat unconventional methods for finding out what funny things there are that are worth performing. And Mrs Schruppatelli's support in this research doesn't prove to be particularly helpful either. But the whole story goes completely off the rails when the collected material is put into practice on the theatre stage. One day before the premiere at the latest, it is clear that Mrs Bläsi, Mrs Hugi-Webemann and the Pfunds are perhaps a little out of their depth as actresses... But Mrs Iseli wouldn't be Mrs Iseli if she didn't have a saving inspiration at the last moment!

Mrs Iseli in jail! And it all starts quite harmlessly with a controversial parking fine. Elvira Iseli's sense of justice inevitably drives her deeper and deeper into the mills of justice until she finally ends up in prison. The new inmate is quickly met with astonishment, as Mrs Iseli quickly turns the place upside down. Of course, she is also clever enough to get out of her predicament.

Mrs Iseli is making a career for herself. She is a big player in the management of a global corporation. Actually, she just wanted to take part in a company tour. But as is her cheeky nature, she sticks her nose in the wrong door at the wrong time. As a result, she attends a meeting where she doesn't belong, takes part in discussions, makes decisions and ends up on a private jet to New York. In other words, she once again finds herself in a situation from which she can only save herself with her unmistakable common sense. And of course with the help of her friend, Mrs Schruppatelli, and her neighbours, the Pfund family.
