Ivory becomes accustomed to her role working for Pyroscythe. Clownpierce brings Ivory to Emberton to familiarize her with shopping duties.

Ivory and Serapter are confronted by Vi. Duke Zolister visits the Whitepine Estate. Pyroscythe handles some of his father's business affairs.

The Hemlocke Family and staff mourn the death of Mysticat.

Bormethius subjects the Hemlocke's maids to a second round of interrogation. Vi and Ivory ceremoniously let go.
