Marvin and his dog Bullet are reunited with an old flame while another family struggle to deal with one of their children being jailed. Single mum Kay decides to take in three of her teenage daughter's friends.

One local family leads the charge to reopen the old community centre, while Marvin's dreams of becoming a family man begin to disintegrate. Single mum Kay gets a big shock from her 16-year-old daughter, and another family set out on their first ever holiday abroad.

Brian Cunningham is released from prison in time for his brother David's 21st birthday, prompting a double celebration. Libby tries to break son James's drug habit, and Harry enters the East Ayrshire Gardening Competition to show off his pride and joy

Libby is heartbroken when her son turns back to drugs, and another family problem adds to her woes. Meanwhile, the Crees discover it will cost more than £50,000 to resurrect the old community centre, and Harry's garden faces an assessment from the awards committee.

A year after he was first filmed, Marvin waits for girlfriend Dayna to get out of prison. Chris and Candice look after their new baby and after a heartbreaking year for mum Libby, the McMurray family are, at last, all reunited again.
