The ladies have a cross-general conversation about how expectations of gender identity and presentation have changed. Monét talks about her pronouns in and out of drag, and deep questions such as, to boob or not to boob? Doth the position maketh man (or woman)? Next we’re going nuclear– we all know Maddie doesn’t play and she doesn’t pull any punches. Monét’s villain era inspires today’s target… a certain blond haired talk show host who thinks she can hate on the trans community and still love the Ru girls. Drag superstar, comedian, Madonna’s MC– Bob’s adding “author” to an already impressive resume, with his new book "Harriet Tubman: Live in Concert!" But before getting into that, Madison and Bob talk Drag Race, douching etiquette, sobriety, and concealed carry– if you needed another reason not to mess with Maddie. Laverne is the DEFINITION of a trailblazer, as the first trans woman to grace the cover of Times Magazine, British Vogue, Cosmo, Essence, and so much more. And she’s not kicking down the ladder– Laverne says the best part of fame is getting to inspire and create space for up-and-coming trans and queer artists. She may be the first when it comes to nominations and accolades, but she will NOT be the last! Two pillars of trans media, Laverne and Madison discuss breaking into the entertainment industry as Black trans women, and the double standards and setbacks that are all too common. Laverne talks about her own journey waitressing in New York for years and almost getting evicted before reaching career success with Orange Is The New Black– and now executive producing and starring in her own TV series, Clean Slate.

BRETMAN ROCK has entered the chat! Bretman joins Maddie all the way from Hawai'i. We kick things off with a conversation on gender identity and B’s experiences growing up in Hawai‘i as a non-binary Filipino kid. Bretman shares how being raised among cultures where mahu and bakla are not only respected but revered helped him embrace the entire spectrum of gender identities. Madison opens up about her own experiences and ongoing learning regarding nonbinary identities. Then, as always, TS Madison asks her guest to talk his shit – and BABY, Bretman understood the assignment. Millionaire at 18? Check. Living his ancestors’ greatest dreams? Check. Peacocks in the backyard? Check. Bretman shares his origin story at a Wal-Mart, and Maddie helps him unpack his genuinely jawdropping villain era (trust, you HAVE to hear this one…!!!). Terri shares stories from growing up in Bon Temps, Louisiana, including her…unique conversion therapy method, granted to her by God. Over the years, Terri Joe has cured many a hommaseggsyuhs (except for her nemesis Saucy Santana) and her work is far from over! Unfortunately, Terri Joe had to leave unexpectedly mid-interview, but the phenomenal Kelon Campbell steps in to take over the rest of the episode! Madison shares her love for the success of Kelon’s alter ego and how sharing the stage with Terri Joe has been a longtime dream! TS Madison and Miss Lawrence share their love for each other, as two groundbreaking voices of reality TV. Miss Lawrence talks his sh!t, with a previous career as one of the most sought after hairstylists in Atlanta which then laid the groundwork for his eclectic career in the entertainment industry. Madison and Lawrence dish on the public perception of flamboyant Black queens and the expectations that they will not succeed– which makes it even more important to celebrate their wins! Both of these icons have changed the way Blackness, queerness, and femininity are seen on and off screen– and their work is paying off! The duo delve into the highlights of Miss Lawrence's career– from his “Villain era” of pushing his team towards greatness, to the chance encounter that inspired him to close his salon and move onto bigger...

With a multifaceted career both onscreen and behind the camera, Orlando Jones is the definition of a storyteller. And he’s no stranger to being called an outlaw– from "Mad TV" to Mr. Nancy, Orlando’s been shaking things up since the 90s! To start off, Orlando tells TS Madison about his evolution in the entertainment industry. An early adapter of mobile media content, Orlando’s media company won the first ever virtual reality Emmy Award. Next, they get into the nuances of centering Black voices in entertainment– storytelling is a powerful tool, and Orlando wants to see more stories by and for Black America!

For this episode of Outlaws, TS Madison is joined by the QUEEN of comedy herself, Mo’Nique! These girls go way back, and Mo’Nique shares a story about her and Madison’s first interview together. The pair talk about their respective journeys to stardom and navigating Hollywood as plus sized girls. Whether your trans or cis, there’s a lot of pressure to change who you are, but Mo’Nique isn’t having it. She reminds us that the public fell in love with THE TS Madison as she is, loud, live, and in COLOR! Next, Mo’Nique spills about her relationship with her husband Sidney Hicks, and how she fell in love with her best friend. She talks about how this relationship has opened up new ways of seeing herself, and what she deserves– and what we all deserve from love!

But shows like “Big Mouth” are more often the exception than the rule, and Hollywood still has a lot of work to do to make sure everyone is seen and heard– on screen AND in the writers room.
