Ozeki Onosato has won two consecutive tournaments and earned promotion to Yokozuna. He reached the pinnacle of the sumo world in just 13 tournaments since his debut—a remarkably rapid rise. We take a look back at the path of this newly promoted Yokozuna. For the first time in about four years, both East and West Yokozuna will be competing together, a situation last seen in the autumn tournament of 2021.
