Jared goes on a date from hell with Brent, who ends up first in the hospital and then driving away with a drink in hand after Olivia fuels up his stranded car. Shane prays for Brent's soul, while Kristin tells Peter she's trying to get pregnant.

Self-professed Jesus freak, Shane, invites Sherrie, Tenisha and Jared to a prayer session only to drop a bombshell. Kristin's period is late, so she decides to take a home pregnancy test. Who will she turn to while her fiance is on a tour of duty?

Tenisha is put off by Jared's racy video from his date. Peter hopes Olivia and Brent will like his comedy act and ask him to host their upcoming benefit. Gay Pride Day turns from upbeat to a downer when Jared and Tenisha fight about his flirting.

In the season finale, Tenisha – inspired by Sherrie and Shane's song – decides to self-publish her book. Brent attends his mom's funeral, and her death finally prods him to sober up. But when he attends Tenisha's reading, will history repeat itself?
