Tom and Semir are investigating the fatal helicopter crash of property owner Karl Schmidt. The trail leads to Max Seefeld, Semir's childhood friend, who would have a motive of revenge. While the manhunt is underway, Schmidt's partner Fleischmann is murdered. The clues point to Heiner Block, the third business partner, who wants to secure his control over the hotel complex. Max calls his sister Rita and exposes Block as the culprit. Tom and Semir rush to the money handover - and make a shocking discovery.

Tom and Semir investigate the murder of Philipp, Anna Engelhardt's boyfriend, after she has disappeared and everything points to her as the culprit. While Inspector Schulte suspects the boss, the highway inspectors go to work behind his back. They discover that Anna is being held captive in a basement room by Philipp's daughter, Lisa. Lisa, who blames her mother for Philipp's separation, murdered him out of anger. Through clever investigations, Tom and Semir finally discover Lisa's motives and save Anna.

Sergeant Klaus Eggers dies during a tank transport, and what initially looks like an accident turns out to be murder. Tom and Semir come across the 'Copia Honoris', a secret elite unit of the German army, to which Eggers belonged. It turns out that Eggers was responsible for cocaine smuggling in the unit and therefore had to die. After another member dies, the group falls apart. In the showdown, Tom and Semir confront Lieutenant Colonel Ringsdorf, who refuses to accept the defeat of the 'Copia Honoris'.

Timo, Manou and Bernd steal a luxury car to get money for a new engine for Timo's racing car. But they are caught by Craven's chauffeur Maybaum, who shoots them before Semir and Tom can intervene. The owner of the car, the influential Craven, surprisingly decides not to press charges. Tom and Semir realize that there is something fishy about this theft. They discover that the car contains a briefcase with explosive material that involves many influential people in a bribery scandal. Bernd tries to blackmail Craven with the dossier, but Craven causes Bernd to have a fatal accident in a prepared racing car. Timo is now determined to avenge his friend's death.

The mafia killer Ante Dedic pursues Peter Schmidt and his son Robert to kill them, because Schmidt testified against the mafia years ago. After a first attack in which Peter is seriously injured and Robert is almost unharmed, Dedic plans another murder attempt in the hospital, which Tom and Semir are just able to prevent. Robert is brought to safety, but danger threatens here too. The investigations by the highway commissioners reveal that Schmidt had been given a new identity by the BKA - which suggests that someone from the ranks of the BKA has betrayed the cover.

A fatal accident occurs during a truck inspection. Tom and Semir discover that the truck driver Peter Holzmann is connected to the special unit "ADS 23", whose members Jochen Schrader and Hans Kossack extort protection money from truck drivers. Freight forwarders who do not pay receive fines. When the police officer Martin Eichel tries to get out, he is threatened by Schrader and dies in an accident. Tom is chasing a speeding car when he discovers that Semir is in the car, which is being taken to hospital after a crash. Semir, who was under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident, loses his memory and is put on leave. During his own investigation, Semir finds out that the young Turk who was run over, Erkan, was his cousin. It turns out that Harkan Bülent, a former drug dealer, wanted revenge on Semir. With the help of Bülent's sister, they set a trap for him.
