Tygo gets a humiliating glimpse into the world of criminal youth. He sees a seventeen-year-old boy dealing drugs every night and not going out without a gun. He speaks with a father whose 16-year-old son has been stabbed to death by minors and walks with the police to see what they are dealing with on the street. In addition, Tygo meets eighteen-year-old Germaine, who got involved in crime at a young age. Tygo learns how he got in and why it's so hard to get out.

Tygo meets eighteen-year-old Nick, who is very impulsive and often gets into trouble due to his ADHD and PDD-NOS. He was removed from home at a young age, but is now forced to go back to live with his mother. Tygo also visits 18-year-old Germaine, who regularly comes into contact with justice. He hears about traumas from his past and how he has hardened. Are these young people only perpetrators, or also victims?

Tygo sees how the government and aid workers are committed to getting young people out of crime, but also how the system sometimes seems to fail. 18-year-old Nick is a member of the probation service and has recently started living on his own again. His drug use spirals out of control and he refuses to take anything from his aid workers. 18-year-old Germaine, who has been involved in crime from a young age, has to report to the court because he is suspected of assault. Attempts to get the boys on the right track don't seem to work.

Tygo investigates which punishments there are for young people and to what extent this helps to get them on the right path. He visits a juvenile detention center and an open prison to see what incarceration can do to young people. 18-year-old Nick, who is very impulsive due to his ADHD and PDD-NOS, comes into contact with the police again. His aid workers intervene and impose sanctions. 18-year-old Germaine, who became involved in crime at a young age, is feeling depressed. He sees only two possibilities for himself, death or prison.
