Pati tries Johanna and James Windon's food at Buena Papa Fry Bar in Raleigh, NC, and loved hearing their story even more. They are using fries as a vehicle to introduce locals to Johanna's native Colombian cuisine.

Pati cooks Indian food with Alaksha Surti. She started her food truck, Curry in a Hurry, out of a desire to connect with her community in Raleigh, NC, by sharing the food that nurtured her growing up.

It was a treat to meet Lis Hernandez at her wildly popular restaurant Arepa Mia. Lis tells her story of growing up making arepas with her mom and then going on to make this staple of her home country Venezuela into a sensation in Atlanta, Ga.
