The Secret Lives of Dancers

Eighteen months have passed since the first series of The Secret Lives of Dancers and there have been massive changes to the company.

With the arrival of their new celebrity boss, all the dancers are on edge, but it's new dancer, Sergio, who is turning heads.

Three weeks into Sleeping Beauty rehearsals and finally the casting has been posted.

The axe falls on some dancers, but others a forging ahead with a new relationship in the works.

It's now just four days till the curtain goes up on Sleeping Beauty, the biggest production the Royal New Zealand ballet has ever staged.

Finally opening night has arrived. Backstage is alive with anticipation as the half hour call comes over the intercom and the dancers go about their final preparations for the show.

The company hit the South Island and its an emotional homecoming for Christchurch girl Lucy Balfour.
