An ex-Confederate white man finds himself assisting a freed slave ex-Union officer track down a man with a bounty on his head after the civil war.

Jemal and Corey kill a would be ambusher, and as they bring his body into town, they are thrown in jail because of an old wanted poster with Jemal's picture on it.
