Join us as we meet Jasmine, Mimi, Alec, and Victor, four teens who have made the major move to New York City to study at the world-renowned School of American Ballet.

Meet 15-year-old Stephanie and 14-year-old Emily, who have left their families to pursue big ballet dreams in New York City.

Moving from Australia to New York City as a teen is not an easy transition. Alec shares some of the challenges of adapting to a new environment—especially the need to defend his love of ballet as a former soccer player. At the end of the day, the physical demands are the same (minus the gruesome facial expressions!).

No high school experience is complete without a little healthy rivalry. In this episode, Mimi shares how she handles the pressure to perform under the watchful gaze of New York City Ballet master Peter Martins.

The students give us a glimpse into how challenging ballet can be on their bodies, including painful injuries that put them on the sidelines. Victor shares how he's developed an outlet in music to help balance these constant pressures and have a little fun outside of class.

As the SAB school year comes to a close, it's time for the seniors to start thinking about their professional futures. After dedicating their entire lives to dance, few things matter more than finding out which company, if any, they will dance for.
