As dazzling as the world of influencers often seems, the business is tough. The pressure to keep posting new videos is relentless! What often looks like fun on YouTube is work that drives some of the platform's stars into burnouts. The STRG_F reporters Désirée Fehringer and Gunnar Krupp spoke to eight well-known influencers about mental stress, pressure of numbers, panic attacks, alcohol problems and existential fears. Numbers of clicks, likes, shares and subscriptions make up the value of a channel, but the pressure to remain relevant in the long term is great.
