Angie is a skater that has recently returned to the rink after many years. Her passion was reignited and she quickly has become one of the most engaging personalities on the national skate scene. Many people will tell you that if you record Angie skating, people are going to watch it! As a stroke survivor, Angie recently hosted her first shuffle event called Heart 2 Heart that was a collaborative effort with the American Stroke Association in order to raise money and awareness. The event was more than a success exceeding their fundraising goal exponentially. Angie and I sat down to discuss her charitable efforts, skate family, skate culture and so much more!

Lady Tee & Kojak Anderson define what it means to be ATL Originals & legend of the skate world! To say it was an honor to have them on the Sk8LikeYou Podcast is an understatement. Tee & Kojak have done it all in the Atlanta skate scene & host the biggest skate parties & events in the country. They are revered and respected not only in Atlanta but among skaters everywhere. From appearances in movies & TV to being charismatic staple on social media, they do it all with love and respect for the game. With a skate history that spans decades, there was no way to cover all of their contributions & so we focused on the spirit of what they do together. Enjoy!

JD Doptis is a Pittsburgh native that recently rediscovered his love for skating a few years ago. Both himself & family come from an artistic skating background that shaped his love for the sport. Since returning to skating JD has immersed himself in the culture by attending events, becoming a RSA Certified Skate Instructor & playing a major role in the planning of one of the year's biggest annual events, Steel City Shuffle Skate. JD and I talk about everything skating... especially our passion for it!

Angela is the owner of Roller Time Family Skate Center in Easley, SC. She is a lifelong skater with years of competing, coaching & training at the highest levels of the sport in multiple disciplines. Not only does Angela's passion for skating never waiver, it actually grows. This is evident by her newest effort to create a weekend shuffle event hosted at Roller Time Nov. 9th & 10th, 2024! I sat down with Angela & we discussed all of this & more!

Nathan Edwards is a lifelong skater who has parlayed his other passion as a master mechanic into becoming the go-to guy for skate repairs & modifications. Need your wheels re-grooved? There is one name you will hear more than any other... Nathan Edwards. As the owner of N.E. Thing Machined, Nathan has become the most trusted resource for skate repairs & manufacturing hard-to-find skate parts. He attends events all over the U.S. whenever he can & is definitely someone I'm always excited to see at any rink. I really enjoyed this conversation!

Dale Edwards is the owner of Roller Skate New England ‪@Sk8_ne‬. He is a New England native & longtime skater who has made it his personal mission to spotlight the talents of other New England skaters state to state. In a short time, SK8.NE has become widely known across multiple social media platforms featuring every style. Dale actually parked at a rest stop during his skate travels to speak with me about everything skating.

Alberto Quinones aka ‪@rollerkingonce‬ is considered one of the best roller skate videographers today. As a highly skilled skater himself, he is able to catch amazing shots of the best skaters in the country. Alberto is highly proficient on inline skates which allows him to move at a high speed with the kind of technical precision needed to catch unreal POV shots translating to a signature style of videography that is recognizable and also hard to replicate. In addition to excellent camera work, Alberto also has dialed in a formula for creating highly relatable & engaging content that draws & maintains the attention of millions of viewers. We discussed all of this and a lot more in this episode!
