In the middle of the night, a policeman rushes Stephanie, her teenage daughter, Laurie, and her little one, Nathan, to an unfamiliar house. Who lives there?

The young family meets the workers at the shelter for women who are victims of domestic violence. While Stephanie is still in shock, Laurie is frustrated that she can't give her gift to her best friend, Megane.

Laurie returns to school. Handsome Samuel's questions embarrass her and make her panic. Little Nathan has strangely stopped talking since entering the shelter.

Advocate Elizabeth tries to reassure Laurie. Laurie's grandfather wants to understand what happened between Stephanie and Pierre, her spouse. Pierre talks on FaceTime to Laurie and Nathan. He tries to justify his episode of violence.

Stephanie makes a very important announcement to her children. Laurie is forced to lie to Samuel about why she left.

Stephanie brings Nathan to the office for his birthday. Pierre arrives on the scene, even if he has no right. The tone rises, the employees are on the alert.
