The second Fajr Film Festival was held in Tehran in February 1362.
There were no foreign films in this year.
Iranian cinema competition was held in two professional and amateur sections and the winners were honored. The jury did not recommend any work worthy of the best film award.
The distinctive feature of this period is the presence of the first talents of the cinema after the 1957 revolution, such as Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Rasul Sadr Aamili, Mohammad Ali Sajjadi, Mohammad Reza Elami, Hassan Hedayat, and Khosrow Sinaii, along with three more well-known names such as Alireza Davoudenjad, Reza Mirlohi, and Masoud Asadolahi.
In this festival, no works of professional filmmakers before the revolution were presented.
