The programmes follows some of the famous faces that visit the hotels, including Richard E Grant, Anna Wintour and Mo Salah, and the work of hotel staff as they prepare for their famous afternoon tea. The establishment hosts a dinner dance, and executive chef John Williams launches a new homegrown ingredient onto the menu. Plus, a look at how old butler tricks are still used today, and some Spanish superstars arrive to prepare for Prince Charles's 70th birthday party.

In the final episode of the series, cameras follow members of staff as the establishment is turned around overnight for Christmas, staging a huge 25ft Christmas tree and cooking up to 500 Michelin-star standard roast dinners.
