Eye-opening series following hopefuls as they battle crippling phobias head-on. In this first episode, ten individuals driven barmy by birds confront their fears. Gemma is so frightened of birds she almost failed to make it into a field of turkeys. How will she cope with catching one?

Emotions run high as ten hopefuls with a debilitating fear of heights sign up for a series of vertigo-inducing challenges, including window cleaning, going on a cable car ride across the Thames and safeguarding a scaffolding site. Guided by presenter Dan Northcott and psychologists Richard Reid and Becky Spelman will they soar, or crash and burn?

This week's group of ten participants attempt to conquer their fear of canines and become dog handlers at a prestigious event, guided by Dan Northcott, Richard Reid and Becky Spelman. The group receives training in canine obedience, agility and grooming, starting with docile pooches before progressing onto small yappy mutts, big hairy dogs and finally energetic and athletic four-legged friends

Ten people attempt to conquer their extreme fear of water by training to become sea fishermen in just three days, with some of the group so terrified they won't walk by a river, board a boat or let their head get wet in a shower. As they try to overcome their phobia under the watchful eye of sailing expert Annie O'Sullivan, they tackle real life jobs that bring them into close contact with water, from manoeuvring a canal boat through a lock to undertaking professional lifeboat training in storm conditions.

Ten people attempt to conquer their extreme fear of spiders, taking part in a series of tasks as they are trained to handle arachnids and put on a show for their families. Each member of the group gets up close and personal with house spiders and helps with arachnid conservation, before putting on a tarantula show for their families, all under the watchful eye of zoologist Dr Ross Piper
