Friends Shanique and Montana find it hard to keep their cool as they see their formal dreams under threat.

Stephanie and Victoria both really want a hot pink hummer as their formal transport. Stephanie's dad offers his green Torana and luckily Victoria's mum Tina has an ace up her sleeve to help her daughter.

Rock chick Reanna's dad has especially returned for her year 12 formal and her mum is determined to make it one to remember. Her friend Sam is the opposite of Reanna and has slightly different plans.

Barbie princess Nicole wants to look like her idol for formal. Dalia lives behind a pizza shop with her family and has high expectations.

Tanya and Alex's parents are determined to give their children everything they want. Alex wants a celebrity date whilst Laura & Najeeb can do nothing right in the eyes of demanding daughter Tanya.

Brittany & Maddie act like sisters but for their formal they are desperate to be seen as the individuals. Sheri loves to dress up in wild and crazy outfits but her formal is a time to look demure, but her mother seems to have forgotten that.

Sara and Jessie have both suffered some rough time in recent years. Sara's relationship with her mother Carmen hit some new lows that Sara chose to go to boarding school for the last couple of years. Jessie has a strong bond with her mum Kellie but has been targeted by school bullies in the last few years. Her mother sees this as a chance to build Jessie's confidence while mum Carmen grabs the opportunity to build bridges with her daughter by showing her that she does have her best interests at heart.

The girls this week are very opposite as one blonde and the other is brunette. One lives in Melbourne's Northern suburbs, one on the Sunshine Coast. Stephanie, who calls-her mother Lena her sister, is confident that her mum will get her the dress that she so desperately wants. Johanna, daughter of the super conservative parentsb, is certain that they will fail to get her a dress she'd actually agree to wear.
