Fishing Edge

To kick the new season of ‘Fishing Edge’ off, Lee heads up the north coast of NSW with good mates George Trinkler & Quinn Scott to South West Rocks. The boys spend a day fishing at near by Grassy Head for Spanish mackerel during their annual run. The show is packed with tips and advice on targeting these pelagic speedsters and the guys get amongst some great fish on live baits & lures.

Western Port in Victoria is one of the most popular locations for big King George whiting in the state. On this episode of ‘Fishing Edge’, Lee puts in the hard yards to track down some thumping fish in the port. Along the way he’ll give you all the tips and info to go out and catch some XL models of these awesome table fish for yourself.

Right at the very tip of Australia is Cape York and a short distance off shore lies the pristine fishing getaway, Albany Island. The fishing lodge here is run by CY Fishing Charters and on this episode Lee, along with Chris Beldon from Rapala, spend a few days fishing the remote waters of the surrounding Torres Strait. A fishing paradise with plenty of options.

On this weeks episode of ‘Fishing Edge’, Lee catches up with Rapala Pro Anglers, Dan Grech & Jon Millard to spend a day fishing the north Queensland impoundment, Kinchant Dam. This dam offers anglers the opportunity to target one of Australia’s most sought after sport fish – the barramundi, in very accessible shallow waters. The boys catch a stack of great barra on some of the latest lures with many of them being landed only a stones throw from the shore! A great episode for anyone who loves this iconic Aussie fish!

Over recent years, game fishing in trailer boats has become increasingly more popular and for many anglers catching a marlin out of your own boat is the ultimate in fishing. This week on ‘Fishing Edge’, Lee teams up with good mates Jules Coyne and George Lirantzis to chase these highly prized game fish in the Evo 6 meter, along the continental shelf out from Ulladulla in NSW.

This week on ‘Fishing Edge’, Lee catches up with Lakes Entrance local and close friend, Bob Hirs, to target king fish at Marlo reef in eastern Victoria. The guys use a heap of different techniques from trolling live baits through to casting surface lures and get stuck into a stack of kingies. An episode with of all the information you need to head out and chase these awesome sport fish for yourself.

We start off this episode in South West Rocks NSW, where Lee heads out with mates Quinn Scott & George Trinkler to chase dolphin fish at one of the local off shore FAD’s. Then it’s off to the Murray River, west of Mildura, where Lee meets up with Lubin Pfeiffer for a couple of days of camping and some serious fresh water fishing action – catching and getting destroyed by monster Murray cod.

On last weeks episode Lee headed up to the Murray River in north western Victoria to chase big Murray cod with his good mate, Lubin Pfeiffer. Well, this week we continue with the action as the boys get into a number of huge cod. An absolute must see for anyone who loves fresh water fishing or just loves monster fish!

On this weeks episode of Fishing Edge, Lee heads up to Cardwell in north Queensland to try something a little different. Teaming up with Rapala Pro Anglers, Jon Millard & Dan Grech, the guys go in search of jungle perch in one of the local rivers. There's plenty of action, plenty of tips and some amazing scenery!

This Saturday on Fishing Edge, it's back to basics. Lee & Bermagui local, Scott Bradley, spend a morning fishing in and around the moorings in Bermagui harbour. As you'll see, sometimes there is more to this style of fishing than you would normally think. Paying careful attention to rigging, bait presentation and even how much berley is used can greatly improve the chances of catching some great fish.

Lee & Chris Beldon fish at Melville Island and what starts out as a trip chasing black jew fish takes a turn when the boys change plans on the last of the tide and go in search of some big barra. Then later in the show Lee travels up to Port Stephens fish with his mate and local angler George Trinkler, where the boys head off to fish the inshore waters in search of small black marlin.

The offshore waters of Port Stephens are famous for large numbers of marlin, however the inshore areas also hold plenty of those fish that dreams are made of. So with this in mind Lee and his mate Quinn Scott meet up with Local angler George Trinkler and head off in search of some estuary mulloway. Then for something completely different Lee heads down to Lakes Entrance at night to catch huge prawns on the run out tide, this is definitely the tastiest show we have filmed.

Lee & Jules head up to Tathra on the NSW south coast to had off shore chasing big southern blue fin tuna trolling and on the cube.

Day two of the tuna trip and this is a must see with perfect weather and fishing to match. On this episode the boys end up with a huge school of big tuna at the back of the boat eating everything they throw at them.

ON this week's episode of Fishing Edge, Lee Rayner travels to Hinchinbrook Island in FNQ to spend a few days fishing around the island with Dan Grech and Jon Millard. The boys live aboard a large house boat and with a small fishing boat in tow, they check out some of the remote and pristine fishing spots Hinchinbrook is renowned for.
