Expedition Lothepus

After reading "Sølvpilen" as a child, with an extra good eye for "Månestråle", the dream of meeting Indians is about to come true for Lothe. However, he had not imagined that a Norwegian healer would be the gateway.

Lothe loves the Deadwood TV series, and is looking forward to showing Svein the cowboy town. But the trip does not go quite as planned. With a hint of a bang, and after telling everyone that he is king on horseback, Lothe is challenged by the natives to duel on a wild horse.

Lothepus is a skeptic, and the skepticism is put to the test when Lothe and Svein meet the medicine man Stanley Goodvoice Elk, who is going to fix Lothe's shoulder. The anxiety is palpable.

Lothepus takes Linni Meister to Voss to make a proper Vestland girl out of her. Linni and Lothe brew the strongest and harshest beer over open flames while Lothe makes an attempt at some history training. There will be a full confrontation in the "relationship" when the two will throw themselves from several thousand meters altitude.

It turns out that history is not Linni's strongest side, and she gets some surprises she will soon forget, when Lothe shows her how harsh it was to live in Voss in the Middle Ages. Linni is terrified of bucks and it does not help when Lothe reveals that she has eaten the balls from one.

Linni thinks her last day has come when Lothe challenges her to rafting in heavy rapids and rappelling in the famous waterfall Skjervet. In the famous Lothe style, there is a little surprise lurking and waiting at the other end.

Lothepus takes Alex Rosén to Lyngen in Troms to follow in the footsteps of war hero Jan Baalsrud. Everything gets pretty rough when the two history-interested guys set out to reconstruct one of the nation's perhaps most famous and spectacular war exploits.

It goes wrong when Alex and Lothepus shoot with weapons from World War II. Alex has not received the instructions and shoots exactly where he is not supposed to shoot. Lothepus gets a bullet in the chin, but the mood rises when they get to make their own liquor.

Lothe takes Alex Rosén to the traditional village of Røros, to try things they do not know anything about. And the situation does not get better when the guys decide to sleep outside in minus 20 degrees, with a pint of booze as provisions.

Lothepus is a self-proclaimed manly-man, who is never afraid and who fixes all adversity. Eli Kari wants to challenge, and takes Lothe on an expedition, to test his expedition skills. This is no ordinary expedition, but a trip on Eli Kari's premises.

Eli Kari continues her expedition in training. The goal is to make Lothe ready for anything that might meet him in life, be it hunger, cold, unexpected events, crazy children or angry, poisonous exotic animals.

The season has given us madness and then some. The last episode ends with a bunch of goodies from this year's expeditions.
