Cobra the Animation

Cobra uses his Psychogun to dispatch three bounty hunters before posing as a minister to infiltrate the Ancient Martian Art Gallery in New York and steal a valuable diamond. Meanwhile, Professor Utopia Moore studies fossil remains on Mars but comes under attack from the Pirate Guild, led by Gypsy Doc, who demands her research data.

Professor Moore brings Cobra along on her Mars expedition, where they discover a live fossil snail that holds the historical secrets of the galaxy. However, their mission is quickly jeopardized when the skeletal figure Crystal Boy attacks, killing the crew and destroying their spaceship.

Cobra discovers the mark of the Pirate Guild in Count Cliff Bold’s castle and narrowly escapes an encounter with the assassin Crystal Boy. After stealing a vehicle to flee with Professor Utopia Moore, they are pursued by mechanical pterodactyls.

Cobra, still alive, attempts to use his Psychogun on Count Cliff Bold but ends up in an underground canal before being rescued by duck-like engineers and Lady Armaroid, who modify his ship for a dimension shift.

Cobra and Lady Armaroid arrive at the Time Palace to seek help from Scheherazade, the dream spinner, as Lady begins to fade away. Entering Lady's past, they witness her transformation from a dying woman into the live-metal being she is now, then push further back in time to when Cobra first met Lady.

Manidou suspects Layla of treachery, leading Lord Giros to give her to Nuba for experimentation, while a wounded Cobra is healed by forest spirits. Joe Gillian reveals to Princess Esmeralda that he is Cobra from the future and urges her to find his younger self for protection.
