Chasing Shackleton

An expedition led by environmental scientist Tim Jarvis attempts to re-create Ernest Shackleton's Trans-Antarctic Expedition, which launched in 1914 and met with disaster when his ship was crushed by ice and sank.

Jarvis and crew try to cross the Southern Ocean, the roughest ocean on Earth, in a 22-foot replica wooden lifeboat with 100-year-old equipment.

Conclusion. Jarvis faces injury, illness and bad weather while attempting to traverse the mountains of South Georgia.
