Growing tired of his repetitive life, Colin Carter decides to break free of his boredom and become the comic book hero of his childhood, Captain Blasto.

Colin recruits his friend and high school janitor to stage a bogus burglary he can foil in the guise of his childhood comic book super hero, Captain Blasto.

As the bogus burglaries continue, Colin gets a job at the local hometown newspaper only to find it's not as glamorous as the comic books may depict.

Colin and Daryl are joined by a crew of middle-aged comic crooks in staging their biggest robbery yet, a local lock-and-key shop.

Word spreads as Captain Blasto's daring deeds make it into the newspaper headlines. Meanwhile Colin decides it's time for a proper super villain.

The crew takes on a new recruit to play Captain Blasto's comic book nemesis, Professor Fandango. Unfortunately the hokey heists aren't what he was expecting.

The crew robs a movie theater audience.

Following the movie theater heist, Daryl discovers he's accidentally taken the money.

Colin discovers that his staged robberies aren't as fake as first believed.
