Jan Ivar has to pick up a burnt girl in an isolated village in Papua New Guinea. Evind travels to Tanzania, where unexpected problems arise. Iisakki faces a challenging situation when technology fails in South Sudan.

Dave transports a patient to hospital in the Congo as the weather threatens. Iisakki flies his first medical evacuation in South Sudan. Jan ivar has to deal with passengers on a crowded airstrip in Papua New Guinea.

In Norway, Josef is preparing to become a bush pilot for Maf. In South Sudan, Josefin is responsible for running a Maf base, while mechanic Bjørnar keeps the planes in the air over Uganda.

Everyday life will be completely different to what Eivind and Mark in Tanzania have planned. Renee is due to fly with Glenys in Papua New Guinea, but has to change her plans because of rebels. And Jan Ivar takes his wife Linda with him to a village he knows well.

Pilots Glenys and Renee have to postpone their flight and are forced to make a difficult decision. Mark and Eivind face an unexpected challenge during a landing, while Ide's wife has to deal with everyday life with their children in war-torn South Sudan.

In Papua New Guinea, Jan Ivar receives a difficult message. Dave and Donna say goodbye after a long life as MAF pilots, while Josef and Christine wait to hear if they will be allowed to leave.
