A fateful meeting between Pollard and an Israeli war hero initiates a shaky spy affair.

Jonathan Pollard becomes Israel's golden spy, but his operation is quite amateur. And despite the red flags and the danger, there are those who insist to keep his operation.

Pollard is detained for questioning and takes his time. Anne, his wife, makes mistakes that turn out to be critical. Convinced that they will be granted asylum at the Israeli embassy in Washington, they escape with the FBI following them, but they encounter locked doors.

In Israel, there is fear of bad relations with the big ally, USA, and just then - every possible mistake is made. Pollard will pay for it with 35 years in an American prison.
