The young pilots undergo a drastic training to select them first on their reflex capacity to pilot a fast fighter. If they fail, they are integrated into logistic transport units which are just as fundamental. The most seasoned of the youngsters are offered the heavy training of landing in Uncle Sam.

The last step in the training program followed by the 14 students of the Bravo class of 2009 was to take on the nuclear aircraft carrier Charles-de-Gaulle. In addition to the Super-Etendards and a Hawkeye surveillance aircraft, its fleet includes Rafales fighters. This is a great moment for the students who see their motivation and efforts rewarded. The characteristics of the ship can be impressive for the young recruits. Indeed, the Charles-de-Gaulle can catapult an aircraft every 30 seconds.
