Ivar Kreuger

A film story about the Swedish financier Ivar Kreuger that begins in 1929, with a grand party in his home at Villagatan 13 in Stockholm. In Lars Molin's highly personal version, historical reality only serves as a backdrop for the strong love story between Kreuger and the beautiful Finnish woman Tuula.

Ivar Kreuger is enchanted by the Finnish Tuula, who Kreuger's secretary Karin Bökman has great difficulty accepting. She tries to make Tuula understand that Ivar is not attached to anyone. The economic power struggle between Wallenberg and Kreuger is brought to a head and the crisis is approaching.

Ivar Kreuger finds himself in a very difficult financial situation. There is a big game going on and suddenly the stock markets all over the world fall. Tuula senses the approaching disaster and tries one last time to persuade Ivar to flee with her to Finland.
