This was an anniversary special to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the property on radio, film, and television. It originally aired on CBS on Saturday, Feb 12, 1955 and then on ABC the following day. It subsequently aired every year until its final airing on February 1, 1958 for the 25th anniversary.
