Martha feels ignored by her workaholic mother so Jas helps her to rebel to get noticed. It backfires and Jas herself ends up getting detention! Martha does manage to misbehave in the end, but when her mother suggests all sorts of traditional 'mother and daughter' activities to make amends for having neglected her, it sounds like hell to Martha and she quickly decides she'd prefer her old workaholic mother back!
Meanwhile, Lily would love her embarrassing mum to be a whole lot less involved, and wishes she'd stop knitting her jumpers with her face on! When her mum is determined to find out who Lily's 'boyfriend' is to invite him round for tea, Lily pretends she fancies Ollie - to avoid revealing that she actually likes Matt Furnish and risk the embarrassment of having her mum fuss over him. Ollie comes to tea and gets carried away with pretending to be the boyfriend, and the only way Lily can shut him up is by 'dumping' him there and then.
