Tine's highly irresponsible kid sister Hanne is still missing. Sole suspect Carl, whom Tine abused and killed in his home, actually had a criminal alibi: a rape elsewhere. While she's suspended, the rest of the team tries to focus on the next case, Flemish Islam-convert Marie De Bock, last seen with ethnic Moroccan presumed boy-friend Abdel Hadbou, suspect of planning a terrorist bombing after a home-search. It soon becomes clear that's no abduction but a hold-up, during which they and a third accomplice are arrested. The team discovers they are part of the gang of Dutch Moroccan murderer on trial Karim Assaraf. Tine, illegally in the office, recognizes him on a shop security video suggesting a link with Hanne's kidnapping, and remembers their father Jos is on the palatial court house's security team. The plot twists with blackmail and a fraternal switch.
