Prince Nestor and his Griffin companion Graer flee the Katastrophe brothers as they search for Quest. The Katastrophe Brothers serve the evil Lord Spite. Graer is Quest's former partner. Nestor's mother banished Quest from the kingdom at some point. Nestor explains to Quest that his parents have been captured and he needs to find the Shatter Soul Sword so he can rescue them. Quest refuses to help but Nestor tricks him into reading an allegiance spell that binds him to aid the prince.
