Wandsworth Prison in London was slammed for its poor conditions and treatment of inmates in a report by the Chief Inspector of Prisons in December 1999. Weeks later, new governor Stephen Rimmerwas installed, and cameras were allowed to follow the trials of his first year in charge.

This Trouble at the Top special follows a group of nurses from Seville as they take up posts in London and Stockport hospitals. They can barely speak English and have problems with the technology, but the patients begin to warm to them. Then a newspaper starts a campaign to get them sent home. Will the nurses stick it out?
