Shredders of Metal

Meet the 7 Metal Guitarists competing for Shred Glory! One will be eliminated and 6 will continue in our quest for the Ultimate Shredder.

Six contestants must perform the guitar solo of Testament’s “Practice What You Preach” at ever-increasing speeds. One will be eliminated and 5 will continue in our quest for the Ultimate Shredder. Featuring special performance from Testament’s own master shredder Alex Skolnick!

Five contestants are given a classic children’s song to perform in a metal style of their choice.

Four contestants create an original shred score to a short film to showcase their abilities to create atmosphere with solo guitar.

Three remaining contestants bring all their guitar tricks to the competition: judges score 1-10 for technical abilities. Two will continue onto the final battle to be declared our Ultimate Shredder.

Our final two shredders go head-to-head in a extended guitar duel until only one is left to be declared our Ultimate Shredder!
